So, what were my goals for March?
- Finish the Clarkson book.
- Read a Beatrix Potter book for the March Children's Classic carnival at 5 Minutes for Books.
- Read the Thomas Nelson review book when it finally arrives.
Well, I haven't finished The Ministry of Motherhood, yet. But, I am working through it each week with several other women. You are welcome to join us on Fridays for a very informal book club. I didn't make it to the library in time to pick up a Beatrix Potter book but I did find some fun videos on YouTube and websites with activities for kids.
As for the Thomas Nelson book, it finally arrived but I've barely had time to open the cover.
I have read one book that wasn't on the list, Henry and Ribsy by Beverly Cleary for the 5 Minutes for Books Children's Classics Carnival (dog theme). I'll save my review for next month but let me just say that we returned to the library after Will and I finished this book and brought home 2 others about the same characters!Overall I'm feeling very positive about my reading this month. I knew going into March that I wouldn't have much time for reading so I'm pleased with what I have accomplished. April is also going to be super busy so I'm not expecting much personal reading for next month either.

Oh, we LOVE the Beverly Cleary books! We've read Henry Huggins and Henry and Ribsy. I remember my brother and sister reading books about some of the other characters from Henry's neighborhood. We've also read Socks, a couple of the Ralph S. Mouse books, and are about to finish Emily's Runaway Imagination. Such fun books! Enjoy!

I remember Beverly Cleary. How fun! We just finished Farmer Boy and are continuing through the Little House series. Farmer Boy was confusing for Mia because Mary and Laura aren't in the book! :) Way to go on your reading!

I love the Henry and Ribsy books. So fun. And Farmer Boy *might* be my favorite LIWilder book, but I'd hate to actually commit to one. The problem with it though, is it makes me want to cook all the time because of all the food in it. Yum. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm broken hearted I didn't do this carnival-2 months in a row now! But I'm going to work on my blog the month of April (thank you), and then be ready to go all out in May!
ReplyDeleteI have just been thinking of starting to read the Little House series to my son for the Read Together challenge at Snapshot. I can't even tell you how many times I have read those books!!
