Skip the cake. Eat the frosting.

Our cake decorating bag still contained a lot of icing, so my husband cut the bag and handed it to Ellie (5 yrs).

We all know cake is just the means of getting the icing to your mouth anyway! Skip the middle man and go straight for the frosting!

Ellie in sugar heaven!

Can't help but smile!

Have you ever let your kids eat just the frosting?

  3. Melissa and Melissa, she was soooo funny. Every picture I have except the one in this post she has her eyes closed like she is savoring every lick of green icing. :)

  6. Stephanie...WHAT A HOOT!! I love it. Those photos are priceless.

We do something sort of like that. We have Ice Cream Night. This is a night where we have ice cream for SUPPER!! We get lots of toppings (some healthy, some not) and PIG OUT! I figure, if we eat well 89 meals a month, 1 meal that is all treats will "come out in the wash"!! ;-D And my family loves it!!

Thanks for linking this FUN post up today.

  7. Kate, I love the ice cream for supper idea!! We might have to do that this summer. Every Sunday night is chocolate chip pancake at our house, so I feel like we've got the non-healthy meals covered pretty good. :D Those are the kind of traditions kids remember, right?
